This past month has been full on for me. I've jumped back into work, feet first and loads more has been going on too. The highlight for me has been January photo-a-day. It's been brilliant. I've loved seeing into other people's lives. The internet is pretty magical sometimes.
I've been asked about a hundred times to create a February photo-a-day, and I pretty much always do as requested, so I've created another one for February. I'll be creating one each month, because I'm enjoying it so much. I know how easy it is to get photo-a-day fatigue though, so if you can't fathom another month of photos ... take a break and come back another month. I've also got something to share later this week for those that want to try something a little bit different. Stay tuned.
So ... drumroll please ... here's February's photo-a-day challenge:
How to take part in February photo-a-day:
1. Using the list as inspiration, take a photo each day.
2. Share it on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #FEBphotoaday. You can also share on your blog or on Facebook ... or even keep the photos privately for yourself.
3. Check out other people's photos and like them or comment on them.
Note: The list is purely for inspiration, however you interpret the daily prompt is up to you. There are no hard and fast rules. For instance for day 22, if you don't officially 'work' and are a mum or looking for work - then show something that you consider to be work (or a chore perhaps). It doesn't have to be office stuff ... it's as loose as you want or need it to be. Just have fun and enjoy!
Also, numbers 20 + 27 were the same in the original list I posted this morning. Please note I have switched the list out.
And remember, for those with photo-a-day fatigue ... stay tuned for a little something-something later this week.

Sometimes having to get on everyday and post a photo gets a bit time consuming. If only I had an iPhone and instagram, would be much easier!

Deletei adore this1 i do so much better when I have a list to abide by! and most days, I try to get creative, and come up with something fun, other days, I'm scrambling to get a photo done - mostly cuz of work! but alas, I look forward to doing at least one photo a day!

I have loved the prompts for January, my Mum has been following along to and it's been so great to do this challenge with her, we have loved it. I am now hoping to get my aunt and bestie involved for feb! thank you so much for doing this and it has been so amazing to watch wothat other people have been photographing on instagram!

YEAH! Yes, I've been playing along in January. I recently discovered Instagram and this has me using my iPhone camera a lot more. I'm loving joining in the fun. I also share many of my photo's on Friday's with the InstaFriday link up party (from Instagram pics).

I was actually planning to do a photo a day for all 366 days this year on my own, so when I saw your January photo a day challenge on January 1, it was even better. I love having a theme challenge of what beauty to look for in that day, and then watching everyone else's interpretation too. Plus, I just happen to be totally addicted to Instagram, so this makes it even better to connect with more people. So happy you are doing the rest of the months too!

I'm currently doing a photo project called 'This is what unemployment looks like' as I (you guessed it) look for a job. I am SO excited to take part. Count me in! It is interesting to see all the connections and they think it is awesome that I did explore with you ... I love the collage ... I still would love to know what you are using to create it ....

Just wanted to let you know that there is a fabulous website ShutterCal.com that allows you to upload your daily picture and see it in a calendar form. Much nicer than a blog, IMHO. I've been taking a picture-a-day for 3 1/2 years and I owe lots to ShutterCal for the encouragement. Thanks for the list. Looks fun!

ReplyDeleteLove this. Thanks again so much for creating the list. I've done January (can't believe there are only 2 days left) and am excited to keep going but I think I'll do a different twist. I've also decided to participate in Project Life and am going to attempt to create a two page scrapbooking layout for each week of the year. For February, I think I might take one suggestion from your list for each week (ie: something from numbers 1-7 to use as inspiration for week 1 and something from numbers 8-14 to use for week 2 and so on). I'm going to give it a shot for this month anyways and see how it goes. Thanks again. I am loving this - it has given me such a "boost" with my photography and scrapbooking.

I didn't know about this site for Jan but I did a photo challenge for Jan and would love to continue. I'm so glad I found this site. Feb 1st is going to be great.

Super excited to do this one! I did your January one and couldn't find the source of it and here I am!
ReplyDeleteI missed a few last month but will try better this time. I plan to make a book at the end of the year. I think it would be cool to see. This month my son asked me to join me. So I loaded Instagram on his iPod and we will both be doing the Feb photo challenge!

I set the image of the photo list as my locking screen on my iPhone that way I always have the list handy :) No excuses this month!

Although I didn't managed to participate in January's challenge, I will be participating in February's challenge and had already posted my photo earlier today.
