Beautiful Stories.

When I was pregnant, I couldn't get enough of real birth stories. I would find them online, print them out and read them before I went to sleep at night. I wanted to read through the pain, the gore and then get to the good part... the arrival of the new baby. I would cry as I read them, stories of how these beautiful women met their little people for the very first time, and how that felt. I couldn't wait for my own experience. I couldn't wait to feel that love that these women spoke of. It was magical, and I wanted in on it.

My friend Kelly recently shared her beautiful birth story with me over at Kidspot. She waited five heart-aching years for her beautiful girl, and she was so worth the wait. You can read her story here.

I hope you're having a lovely Wednesday. I'll off to do that radio interview now. Eek. It's pre-recorded so once I figure out when it's on, I'll let you know. x

  1. I was exactly the same when I was pregnant! I read every birth story I could find & wanted to know the good & the bad & cried when the babies were born. I love that I now have my own birth story that I can share & hopefully inspire other women.

Good luck with your interview :)

  2. I still cry when I read birth stories - all of them. Something changed in me when I had babies of my own and each story brings back those sweet memories of those first amazing moments.

  4. I remember 11 years ago when we first started ttc and I would devour pregnancy magazines, convinced our time was just around the corner.

I stopped reading well over 7 years ago and now I can't bring myself to read them, they just hurt too much...so I steer clear at all costs...

  5. I always get upset when I read birthing stories. I had a miscarriage last year that has mentally scarred me. But when I read these beautiful moments that all these mummy's have, it gives me hope, that one day it will happen for me...
